Baseline alternative

Baseline alternative for sports facilities

Baseline publishes its pricing, which makes it one of the easier facility platforms to compare. This page lays out its listed subscription tiers, setup fee, contract terms, and card and ACH rates, then compares them with CoachCore's Facility plan.

It is a comparison, not a verdict. Baseline offers things CoachCore's Facility plan does not, including point-of-sale and keyless-entry add-ons and a $0 starting tier, and those matter for some facilities.

Baseline details were checked against its pricing page, features pages, and Terms of Service on October 16, 2026. Plans change, so confirm current terms with Baseline before you decide.

Baseline pricing

What Baseline publishes

Baseline's pricing page lists three tiers. Base is $0/mo with a $250 setup fee and no commitment required. Plus is $99/mo and includes everything in Base plus your choice of one of four packages (Train, Grow, Operate, or Back Office). Pro is $199/mo and includes all four packages. Plus and Pro list free setup and a 12-month commitment.

Listed add-ons are a custom branded app at $149/mo (Plus and Pro), POS terminals from $380 one-time, keyless-entry hardware from $170 one-time, and custom domain and email setup at no charge. The pricing page lists no per-coach or per-staff charge.

Transaction fees

Baseline's published card and ACH rates

Baseline lists the same processing rates on every tier: 3.9% + $2.79 for cards and 1.8% + $2.49 for ACH. Each is a percentage plus a fixed amount per transaction, so the effective percentage is higher on smaller bookings.

Baseline's pricing page says its processing revenue funds account managers, onboarding, and development, and that every customer pays the same rate. It does not say whether the facility absorbs the fee or passes it on to customers, and we have not verified that, so this page does not assume either.

Baseline's Terms say each business is the merchant of record with its own merchant account, is responsible for chargebacks, and that a processing fee of up to 5% may be deducted from refunds where permitted.

Fee comparison

Card fee per booking: Baseline vs CoachCore

CoachCore takes no commission. The card processing fee is added to the student's total at checkout, so the facility receives the full booking price. Baseline lists its fee as a processing rate and does not say who bears it. This table shows the fee on each.

Booking amountBaseline card fee (3.9% + $2.79)CoachCore card fee, added at student checkout
$50 booking$4.74 (9.48%)$1.80 (3.60%)
$100 booking$6.69 (6.69%)$3.30 (3.30%)
$150 booking$8.64 (5.76%)$4.79 (3.19%)
$500 booking$22.29 (4.46%)$15.24 (3.05%)

Assumptions: a domestic card payment. The CoachCore fee is grossed up to cover Stripe's standard 2.9% + $0.30 so the facility nets the full price. Excludes ACH, international cards, and disputes. Baseline's rate may fund services beyond card processing, so the fees are not a like-for-like price for the same bundle. Monthly illustration

What the facility pays each month at two booking volumes

The answer depends on volume and on who bears card fees. If a Baseline facility absorbs its card fees, its $0 Base tier costs less at low volume and more as bookings grow: using $100 bookings, Base and CoachCore cross at about 23 card bookings per month. On CoachCore the facility's cost stays at the subscription because students pay card processing.

Scenario (monthly)Baseline Base ($0/mo) + card feesBaseline Plus ($99/mo) + card feesCoachCore Facility ($150/mo)
10 card bookings of $100$66.90$165.90$150.00
200 card bookings of $100$1,338.00$1,437.00$150.00

Illustration only, not a quote. Baseline card fees are shown as a facility cost because Baseline's pages do not say whether they can be passed to customers; a Baseline facility that passes them on would pay only the subscription. CoachCore's total excludes extra coaches beyond five. Totals exclude Baseline's $250 Base setup fee, add-ons, ACH, and refunds, and ignore feature differences. Plus includes one package and Pro includes all four, so tiers are not equivalent.

Honest fit

When Baseline is the better choice

Baseline may be the better fit if you want point-of-sale, keyless entry, QuickBooks, Google Ads automation, a branded mobile app, team registration with payment plans, or reporting such as churn scoring and revenue forecasting, or if you want hands-on setup help. Its $0 Base tier can also cost less when you take few card payments.

CoachCore's Facility plan may fit better if you want a flat subscription ($150/mo) with no CoachCore commission, coaches with permissions, bookable spaces, memberships, waivers, progress tracking, and video analysis under one account.

Coaching on your own, without a facility?

Clinics are included in both Basic and Pro. Memberships, programs, progress tracking, and video analysis are Pro features on those plans.

The Facility plan is a separate product line for owners with several coaches, staff roles, bookable spaces, and memberships.

What does CoachCore's Facility plan cost?

The Facility plan is $150/month and includes up to 5 coaches. Additional coaches are $10/month each. CoachCore adds no platform commission on transactions. Card processing is added to the student's total at checkout, so the facility receives the full price.

Is Baseline's 3.9% + $2.79 a commission?

Baseline lists it as its card processing rate. Its pricing page says processing revenue helps fund its services, but it does not break the rate into processor cost and Baseline revenue, so we do not call it a commission.

Is CoachCore cheaper than Baseline?

It depends on volume and on who bears card fees. On CoachCore the student pays card processing at checkout, so the facility's cost is the $150/mo subscription. On Baseline, if the facility absorbs its card fees, the $0 Base tier costs less at low volume and more as bookings grow: at $100 bookings the two cross at about 23 card bookings per month. Baseline does not say whether its fees can be passed to customers. The plans also differ in features, so compare them against your own workflow.

CoachCore's Facility plan does not currently offer point-of-sale, keyless entry, or a branded mobile app. Confirm any of the others you need in a demo.
